Are there any downsides to non-traditional franchise locations?

At one point we put a franchise in an arena where the local National Basketball Association (NBA) team served as the franchisee. It went well for a couple of years, but then the team was sold and we had to leave the venue.

Similarly, we’ve been approached by Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Football League (NFL) teams for stadiums where we felt the opportunity was just too limited. In other locations, a franchise can be busy all day, but in a stadium, it might only get business when the team is actually playing a game. For us, that’s a big difference compared to being able to service breakfast, lunch and dinner at a franchise in an airport, for example, or even just lunch and dinner at a traditional location.
