On January 29, Home Care Assistance’s Toronto franchise will introduce ‘Cognitive Therapeutics Method’ (CTM), a new science-based program to help boost seniors’ mental acuity, to the Ontario in-home care market.
CTM targets five primary cognitive domains—memory, executive functioning, attention, language and visual-spatial perception—and is designed for the franchise system’s staff to administer one-on-one in clients’ homes.
Toronto franchisee Steve Darley will host a special event at his office to launch the proprietary program. The event will include a discussion of memory and music by Sandra McCurbin, a project co-ordinator for the Alzheimer Society of Toronto.
“We are thrilled to be hosting this informative event,” says Darley. “We will be giving a live presentation of various activities that make up the CTM program and look forward to the attendee feedback.”
