Harvey’s and Lightlife Foods have announced a partnership to offer plant-based patties.

The menu item is a 99-g (3.5-oz) patty made with 18 g (0.6 oz) of plant-based protein. The Lightlife Burger has no genetically modified organisms (GMO), soy, or gluten and is made with fewer and familiar ingredients such as beets and pea protein.

“Harvey’s has a long history—more than 60 years—of proudly serving Canadians great-tasting patties,” said Harvey’s chief operating officer, Dave Colebrook. “Adding the Lightlife Burger to our menu reflects our commitment to quality, Canadian products, and provides our guests with more access to healthy and delicious options.”

The new menu item will be available in 292 restaurants countrywide.
