Florida-based sandwich shop, Jon Smith Subs, has announced the opening of its second Canadian location in Sherwood Park, Alta.
According to a media release, what sets the brand apart is its “commitment to using only the highest quality fresh ingredients and providing
exceptional customer service.”‘
The menu features more than 24 subs, with some of the most popular dishes being the Steak Bomb, Cuban, Gator, and The Italian Cold Cut. They also serve salads, wraps, bowls, and offer breakfast daily until 11 a.m. with a variety of fresh breakfast sandwiches on the menu.
The new location will be run by a group of partners including Altaf Maredia, a veteran in the quick service food industry with more than seven years of experience.
According to the media release, Sherwood Park was a priority location for this second franchise because it’s one of Alberta’s largest and fastest-growing communities.
“We’re thrilled to open the second Jon Smith Subs in Canada, and to be bringing its unique brand of larger-than-life subs to the community in Sherwood Park,” says Maredia. “We take pride in our fresh ingredients and exceptional customer service, and we’re excited to share that with the people of Sherwood Park.”
This new location is part of a master franchise agreement with an Alberta company co-owned by Gurbinder Singh and Amrinder Cheema. Singh and Cheema both have a family history in the restaurant industry.
“We are thrilled to be continuing to expand Jon Smith Subs in Alberta and look forward to offering the community a fresh alternative in the sandwich category with our specialty subs,” says Singh. “Our approach to every aspect of the Jon Smith Subs experience is to not only provide our guests with delicious, fresh subs but also to create a warm and welcoming environment with a focus on excellent guest service. Our team is ready and excited to show Sherwood Park what we are all about.”
As part of its Canadian expansion strategy, Jon Smith Subs currently has four new locations under construction stretching from Alberta to Ontario and is planning to open nine more locations in the near future across British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
