McDonald’s Canada prepares for 25th McHappy Day

McDonald’s is hosting its 25th annual McHappy Day on May 2 to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

The franchisor will donate one dollar to RMHC for every Big Mac, Happy Meal or hot McCafé beverage sold in-store or through McDelivery on Uber Eats. Since its inception in 1977, McHappy Day has raised $66 million to help families of sick children stay in Ronald McDonald houses and family rooms during treatments.

“This year, we’re also asking Canadians to pledge their participation in advance of McHappy Day, to inspire others and drive even greater results, so we can support even more families,” says John Betts, CEO of McDonald’s Canada.

Customers can join The Bachelorette Canada suitor Kevin Wendt and TV host Jessi Cruickshank in sharing on social media how they plan to participate with the hashtag #McHappyDay.
