On June 6, Tim Hortons franchises across Canada donated 100 per cent of their proceeds from sales of hot coffee and limited-edition Camp Day bracelets to help send more than 20,000 young people from low-income homes to camp.
Since 1974, the Tim Hortons Children’s Foundation (THCF) has provided experiences for more than 257,000 youth at its seven camps across Canada and the U.S., which are open year-round. During the school year, they offer four-day sessions for students in Grades 6 to 8. In the summer, they prepare 12- to 16-year-olds for successful lives after high school.
“Camp Day is our biggest and most impactful fundraiser, says Dave Newnham, THCF president and executive director. “We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of Tim Hortons franchisees and customers.”
