Veterans and active-duty members are invited to Applebee’s to share stories and experiences with their families, friends and other service men and women. The free meals will be featured on a special Remembrance Day menu, including steak, chicken fingers, shrimp, chicken, cheeseburgers, salad and penne.
“Remembrance Day is a time to celebrate the sacrifices members of the Canadian military services have made and continue to make to keep Canada safe and preserve liberty,” says Daniel del Olmo, president of Applebee’s parent company DineEquity. “Welcoming these brave men and women by serving them a free meal is our way of showing how much our team members recognize and appreciate their contributions to our freedom.”
The annual event has served 7,300 meals since its inception seven years ago.
