A&W has given cheese-lovers from coast-to-coast a reason to celebrate.
The quick-service restaurant (QSR) recently became the first national burger chain to eliminate processed cheese from its menu. Beginning Oct. 1, A&W switched to cheddar, mozzarella, and curds made using 100 per cent Canadian milk.
“We believe sourcing simple, great-tasting ingredients, farmed with care is the right thing to do,” said CEO Susan Senecal. “Serving real cheese instead of processed cheese was the logical, delicious next step.”
