Canadians can nominate impactful people by submitting their story through Instagram or via direct message on Facebook. Each of the top five entries will win a Boston Pizza party for 10.
With the BP Kids Card fundraiser, customers can make a minimum donation of $5 to BPFFP and receive a card for five free kids’ meals, redeemable until June 30, 2018.
“One in three Canadian children do not spend enough time with a positive role model,” says Cheryl Treliving, executive director of BPFFP. “Having the right person to look up to can make a lasting, positive impact on the life of a child in need. Last year, our fundraiser generated a record $1 million in donations, thanks to the support and generosity of our franchisees, staff and customers from across the country. We hope to surpass that record this year.”
Since 2006, the Kids Card promotion has generated more than $5.8 million in donations, which helped provide 200,000 hours annually of valuable time for young people with role models through charity programs, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kids Help Phone, Live Different, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and the Rick Hansen Foundation.
