A groundbreaking ceremony was held to commemorate construction of OK Tire’s new 18,580.6-m2 (200,000-sf) distribution centre in Valleyfield, Que.
Attendees included the mayor of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Miguel Lemieux, along with OK Tire corporate representatives. Construction is expected to be completed next summer.
“We are thrilled to break ground on our new state-of-the-art distribution centre,” said OK Tire’s vice-president of logistics and distribution, Tony Beck. “The strategic location will offer us the capacity to better serve our constantly expanding network.”
The expansion is the first major initiative of OK Tire’s five-year growth plan and is the largest of its kind in the company’s 66-year history.
