Famoso Italian Pizzeria + Bar recently opened a new location at Heartland Town Centre in Mississauga, Ont.
This is the 32nd location for the brand, and the third in Ontario, adding to locations in downtown Toronto and Waterloo.
Situated near the intersection of Britannia and Mavis Roads, the 195 m2 (2100-sf) eatery seats up to 45 guests for dine-in, with additional seating on the patio.
The first Famoso opened in Edmonton in 2007, and is known for their authentic Neapolitan pizza.
“Famoso is passionate about staying true to authentic Italian pizza, with the use of imported Italian deck ovens, ingredients imported from Italy, and traditional culinary techniques in pizza making that have gone unchanged for generations. At Famoso watching your authentic Neapolitan pizza being hand tossed by the pizzaiolos in an open-style kitchen is almost as enjoyable as eating it,” a company media release reads.
The latest location is run by franchisees Chad and Dean Labreche, who also run the other Ontario restaurants.
