Sign shop franchisor FastSigns recently honoured five Canadian franchises with sales awards at its international convention in Orlando, Fla.
The convention’s theme was ‘Believe to Achieve’ and focused on franchisees’ accomplishments from 2015 and plans for the upcoming year.
Co-franchisees franchisees Diane and Brian Henderson of Burlington, Ont., received the CEO Circle Award, which recognizes the top 25 franchises in Canada and the U.S. for sales volume. They also accepted an achievement award for the highest volume sales in Canada.
Also honoured were Carol Ann and Craig Gibbs of Scarborough, Ont., and Paul LeBlanc of Vancouver, each winning the Pinnacle Club Award, which recognizes Canadian and U.S. franchises ranked 26th to 125th in sales volume. The Gibbs also accepted the Sales Achievement Award for Overall Sales Growth. Lorena and Jose Azavado of Oakville/Mississauga, Ont., won an award for the Canadian franchise with the highest percentage of sales growth from the previous year, while Philip Zakem and Ellery Richardson of Charlottetown won the Rookie of the Year Award for Conversions for the highest sales volume in the first 12 months of operation.
In total, 114 franchises from four countries were recognized at the convention for exceeding $1 million in sales last year.
