“We are excited to bring the first Good Earth in Ontario to the staff and visitors of the Ottawa Airport,” says Gerry Docherty, president of Good Earth. “The opening is an important first step into the city’s market. This location will give us an opportunity to introduce ourselves to a cross-section of people in Ottawa.”
The 24-year old coffeehouse chain has grown from one location in Calgary in 1991 to more than 45 in major cities across the country today. Good Earth’s breakfast, baked goods, soups, salads, wraps and sandwiches are created with whole grains, flours, nuts and seeds, as well as whole fruits and vegetables and real dairy products. Since its inception, the company has supported responsible farming, direct trade and small-batch roasting. It focuses on low carbon emissions, compostable packaging, green energy and sustainable coffee.
