Good Earth Coffeehouse opens first Toronto franchise

Good Earth Coffeehouse opened its first Toronto franchise at Jarvis and Dundas Street East on Jan. 22 and will hold its grand opening on Feb. 9.

“We believe we all have a role to play in creating better communities,” says Gerry Docherty, Good Earth’s president. “We are confident our new home in Toronto will bring extra warmth to the neighbourhood and a place for the community to meet for coffee, breakfast, a date, book club or any other reason to get together.”

Good Earth has been committed to environmental responsibility since it was founded in 1991. It serves Rainforest Alliance Certified and Direct Trade coffee and uses compostable paper cups and hot food containers.

Five more Good Earth franchises are set to open in 2017. The company has plans for further expansion in Vancouver, Banff, Alta., Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Toronto and Southwestern Ontario.
