Food-service franchise system Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has added an apostrophe to its O’riginal Glazed doughnut and turned it green for St. Patrick’s Day at Canadian and U.S. locations.
“St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect occasion to change the colour of the O’riginal Glazed,” says Jackie Woodward, chief marketing officer (CMO) at Krispy Kreme. “What’s even rarer than a four-leaf clover is altering the name of such an iconic product. We have never done it before, but in this instance, it’s fun and joyful, just like the holiday.”
