Lapels merges five new acquisitions to create world’s largest dry-cleaning company

Lapels Dry Cleaning (Lapels), headquartered in Hanover, Mass., has acquired five brands to create the largest dry-cleaning company in the world.

Lapels recently announced the purchase of Martinizing Dry Cleaning, 1-800-DryClean, Pressed4time, Dry Cleaning Station, and Bizziebox. Lapels has merged these companies into Clean Franchise Brands, creating the largest dry-cleaning company in the world, with more than 500 stores worldwide.

“This acquisition creates tremendous synergies among all of our existing and new franchisees across the country,” said Kevin Dubois, CEO and president of Clean Franchise Brands. “The merger gives us the collective purchasing power to significantly reduce operational costs for our franchises in the future.”

“There will definitely be some co-ordination between brands to accommodate the needs of customers,” said Dubois. “For example, a Lapels plant may provide the cleaning service for a 1-800-Dry-Clean operator.”

Clean Franchise Brands is providing multiple offerings for new and existing franchise owners,

including a plant with retail store, a satellite store, pickup and delivery, and the newly created Lapels Laundromat. The newly formed company also offers a conversion program to independent dry-cleaning business owners.
