Montreal-based educational franchisor Mad Science has teamed up with Crayola to launch a new franchise system designed to provide art-infused enrichment programs for children aged five to 12.
Crayola Imagine Arts Academy offers activities designed to nurture and develop creative, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills. The art-focused curriculum and hands-on activities can be incorporated in a variety of event types, including after-school programs, summer camps, and birthday parties.
“At Crayola, we are all about giving kids innovative and relevant products that spark creative experiences,” said Warren Schorr, Crayola’s vice-president of business development and global licensing. “Our collaboration with Mad Science focuses on art concepts and techniques to broaden the understanding of today’s world, sharpen kids’ creativity and critical thinking skills as problem solving tools, and learn about different places and new cultures.”
Crayola Imagine Arts Academy began market testing in 2016 in 18 Mad Science locations. New franchises are expected to open in the spring.
