On October 5, McDonald’s Canada will recognize teachers and education support on World Teachers’ Day by offering free medium McCafé Premium Roast coffee or tea at participating restaurants.

The nationwide initiative forms part of McDonald’s ongoing commitment to its communities by acknowledging teachers and education support staff have worked tirelessly to create a welcoming environment for students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The offer for a free McCafé coffee or tea for teachers on World Teachers’ Day is a small expression of our immense gratitude for our education community across the country working tirelessly to keep our kids learning during this very difficult time,” said McDonald’s Canada head of McCafe strategy, marketing, and brand innovation.

Throughout COVID-19, together with its franchisees and suppliers, McDonald’s Canada has been finding ways to support its communities. To date, this has included the donation of more than 147,417 kg (325,000 lbs) of food to local food banks and other charities, and the supply of more than 2.7 million free coffees to frontline healthcare and emergency service workers.

In May, McDonald’s Canada conducted #FriesforGood, a nationwide initiative and, with the help of Canadians, donated a portion of the proceeds from all fries sold to the Canadian Red Cross. In only two weeks, the initiative raised more than $1.1 million.

  1. It`s a good idea, educators are very important for every country, as they make the society educated. I remember my teachers, they were very kind and clever, I liked and respected them, but sometimes I had to cheat with my homework. I used the help of services which I found on   WritingJudge  Their reviews helped me choose reliable services for my homework.

  2. Thanks for the interesting news. World Teachers Day was established by UNESCO in 1994. Celebrated on October 5. On this day in 1966, a conference convened by UNESCO and the International Labor Organization adopted the Recommendation “On the Status of Teachers” – the first international document defining the working conditions of teachers. World Teachers’ Day is a part of the UN system of world and international days, which aims to draw attention to the position of teachers in society, their role in education and development. Over 100 countries celebrate World Teachers Day, sometimes a separate national Teachers Day is celebrated. From the outside it may seem that McDonald’s has organized a good initiative, but to me it looks like a hidden marketing ploy … I advise you to look on YouTube for videos in which the authors talk about crowd marketing and its application in business, for a better understanding of my thoughts. I managed to find there quite a few videos on this topic and I noticed that most of these videos had at least 44 thousand views! I am sure this is because their authors used the services of https://soclikes.com/ in order to wind up views for YouTube.
