Food-service franchise system Mr. Mikes Steakhouse Casual, formerly known as Mr. Mikes Steakhouse and Bar, has announced a new menu starting on July 20 which it describes as a case study on current Canadian food trends.
The updated menu will feature new ingredients and international flavours. It targets the hot and sweet trend where meals such as the Sriracha shrimp and Mikeburger with beer-battered jalapenos feature both spicy and sweet flavours. Customers looking for Southern flavour can find it in items such as deep-fried pickles and the Cajun rib eye, which boast similar tastes commonly found in the lower part of the U.S. For those searching for comfort food, there are dishes like bacon macaroni and cheese and peppercorn sirloin pasta and for health-conscious customers, the lobster avocado salad.
Mr. Mikes also makes in-house guacamole, fresh compound batters and citrus soy and honey lime dressings. It serves Canadian AAA steaks and is known for its signature gourmet spice blend.
