The Ontario-based franchise system has introduced Romana-Pizza al Taglio, i.e. pizza by the slice. Popular in Rome, it is made from special dough baked in trays ordered from Italy to make it crisp and fluffy, says Pizza Nova president Domenic Primucci. It is only available in-store, not for delivery.
As for the contest, customers can walk into any participating Pizza Nova location and purchase any slice, which will be given to them on a ‘peel-to-reveal’ promotional slice tray.
“In honour of our customers and our Italian heritage, we’re giving away Italian-inspired prizes, like trips for two to Rome, Italian cooking classes, wine tours, espresso makers, gitoni (foosball) tables, a Vespa scooter and more,” says Stephanie Angelone, Pizza Nova’s vice-president (VP) of marketing. “Given it’s our 50th anniversary, 50,000 prizes seemed like just the right number.”
The contest is also only available in-store and ends April 28 or while supplies last.
