Pizza-vending machine franchise PizzaForno has opened its 50th North American location in Port Severn, Ont.

PizzaForno, Canada’s only pizza vending machine that’s open 24/7, marked 50 locations across Canada and North America in July. The brand also launched new “take and bake” pizzas, now available in addition to the “hot and ready in three minutes” option.
PizzaForno officials are looking to increase the company’s market share in the next five years when it anticipates it will have thousands of kiosks in operation across North America.
In a media release, the company claims nearly 75 per cent of Canadian households have purchased a bake-at-home pizza since March 2021, according to Neilsen research. In fact, most Canadians (81 perc cent) eat pizza at least once a month, according to Technomic’s 2020 Canadian Pizza Consumer Trend Report.
At a time when the foodservice industry is plagued with staffing shortages, PizzaForno is fully automated, requiring no staffing. A robotic arm takes the customer’s selection from the refrigerated section of the pizza kiosk and conveys it into a oven, where it is baked, boxed, and served.
“PizzaForno’s growth is being driven by convenience and a national love of good pizza. There’s nowhere else you can get a hot, delicious 12 in. pizza 24/7 that’s ready in three minutes,” said Les Tomlin, Canadian co-founder, PizzaForno. “Our licensees are loving PizzaForno because it serves up another reason for customers to visit their existing businesses.”
PizzaForno’s 3.048 m by 3.048 m (10 ft by 10 ft) easy-to-install kiosks are located across Canada and are placed adjacent to restaurants and convenience stores, and within food courts and gas stations at a fraction of the cost of a restaurant franchise with about 75 per cent less overhead.
“PizzaForno is driving sales to my convenience store because it’s the only after-hours food option in town for locals and tourists, and people are really surprised at how great it tastes,” said Port Severn franchisee, Roni Carli, who opened the 50th location earlier this month.
With the touch of a screen, the PizzaForno kiosk serves up seven different types of delicious pizzeria style pizzas: BBQ Chicken, Honey & Goat Cheese, Meat Lovers, Four Cheese, Pepperoni, Veggie, and Hawaiian. They feature meats, cheeses, veggies, and homemade tomato sauces. The dough is made with a secret recipe of six all-natural ingredients.
