Canadian artist John Coburn designed the cup, which features 13 iconic landmarks and traditions, including skating on Ottawa’s Rideau Canal, the RCMP Heritage Centre in Regina, Parliament Hill, Cape Spear Lighthouse in Newfoundland and Montreal’s 375th birthday.
Second Cup has also launched a revamped beverage lineup, including maple lattes and frappes and shots of pure maple syrup from the Bernard Family, a famous maple syrup farm in Quebec. The drinks are available for a limited time only.
“Our customers and franchisees are very proud of Second Cup’s Canadian heritage,” says Vanda Provato, the company’s vice-president (VP) of marketing. “That is why we’re celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday with a new, beautifully designed cup that reflects our communities and a recrafted customer favourite, the maple latte, made with real maple syrup from Quebec.”
