SG Yard Greetings expanding into Canada with plans to build 40 to 50 franchises

SG Yard Greetings has announced its expansion into Canada as a franchise company with locations planned in four provinces.

“We are creating a path of opportunity for entrepreneurs to grow a SG Yard Greetings franchise
so they can continue to build better lives for themselves and their families,” said Stacey Hess,
president and CEO at SG Yard Greetings. “This investment in Canada is another way we can
support our current franchises and staff by growing the brand while continuing SG Yard
Greetings innovation, creativity, and white-glove customer service. What SG Yard Greetings really does is empower people to find their passion and purpose in owning their own successful business.”

SG Yard Greetings recently received approval on its Canadian franchise disclosure document (FDD), a move the company said places it as the only company of its kind to franchise internationally.

“We knew it was time to grow internationally because of the demand,” said Hess. “Already we have five licensees in Canada that we will be transferring to a franchise agreement and an additional five prospective franchisees going through our approval process.”

The first Canadian franchises are in Bay of Quinte in Ontario, Calgary, Victoria, B.C., Ottawa,
North Island Vancouver, and Saskatoon, Sask.. The brand expects to open 40 to 50 more Canadian franchises.

“We’re extremely excited about where we are as a brand and all we’ve accomplished in seven
years,” said Hess. “We intentionally grew in baby steps. Our growth from 2020 to
2021 was 249 per cent and that was possible because we had a solid base in place. People ask if we are
planning to expand into other countries and the answer is yes because we answer the demand—and we receive inquiries from communities across the U.S. and other countries everyday.”
