Tim Hortons celebrates National Donut Day with honey-dip breakfast sandwich

On June 1, Tim Hortons celebrated National Donut Day with the launch of a limited-edition, sweet and savoury ‘food mashup’ menu item at all of its franchises across Canada: a honey-dip donut breakfast sandwich.

Customers were encouraged to take selfies with the sandwich or a donut on share them via Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #TimsGoesDonuts and tagging @TimHortons for the chance to win free donuts for a year.

“We were excited to bring Canadians together with a fun food creation pairing our breakfast sandwich with our customers’ favourite treat,” says Sam Siddiqui, president of Tim Hortons Canada. “Donuts have been a core part of our heritage for 54 years.”
