Tim Hortons has shuttered its high-end Innovation Café in Toronto’s Financial District less than two years after its opening.
As reported by The Toronto Sun, the location at 130 Bay Street has been permanently closed.
The café opened in July 2019, and was in the Exchange Tower, just one floor below Tim Hortons’ head office.
“The reality of COVID-19 has meant the downtown core has been largely vacant for 13 months and will likely continue to be for the foreseeable future,” reads a statement from Tim Hortons.
“We will continue to trial new ideas and concepts,” the statement continued.
