Pizzeria franchisor Topper’s Pizza recently concluded its10-week Feel Good campaign, which raised more than $50,000 for Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
In an effort to raise awareness and increase funding, Topper’s franchises collected donations online, by phone and in-store. Customers could also order the Feel Good Meal, which was created specifically for the campaign. This year, the franchise system surpassed last year’s goal by more than $10,000 and raised $44,623 from franchisees and patrons. The founding Toppazzini family matched every $5 raised with $1, which brought the total to $53,547.
“Our franchise partners really jumped on board with the program this year and our call centre was a huge driver of the campaign’s success,” says Karen Trottola, director of marketing and communications for Topper’s.
“We were thrilled so many people chose to contribute to the Topper’s campaign through their pizzerias across the province,” says Wendy Dempsey, manager of sponsorship and cause marketing for the SickKids Foundation. “These donations will be put toward the hospital’s highest-priority needs, allowing us to help more sick children in need of specialized care from the four corners of our province.”
Over four years, the Feel Good campaign has raised more than $200,000.
