Wendel Clark scores with Meineke franchise in Vaughan

editFormer Toronto Maple Leafs captain Wendel Clark and business partners Andrew Jackson and Cam Campli are Meineke Canada’s newest franchisees in Vaughan, Ont. They opened their first location on July 23, with plans to open two additional franchises over the next two years.

Jackson is a promotions expert who specializes in celebrity placement and event planning. Clark will take a hands-on role to help grow Meineke Canada’s retail sales and franchises. Campli and his wife Rita have already been successful Meineke franchisees for more than six years.

“Few athletes have made as big an impression on Canadian sports fans as Wendel Clark, whose scoring prowess and strong physicality were major contributors during some of the Leafs’ most exciting seasons,” says Duane Arbeau, Meineke Canada’s vice-president (VP) and general manager (GM). “He is a resident of King City in Vaughan, so this territory is a natural fit for his first Meineke franchise.”

Meineke Car Care Centres was founded in 1972 and has operated in Canada since 1981. The franchisor plans to open 75 new locations within the next five years.
