Quick-service restaurant (QSR) franchisor KFC Canada has introduced its first double burger, made with breaded, crispy chicken. The new Big Boss sandwich, available at all KFC restaurants across Canada, features two 100 per cent white meat chicken fillets, special sauce, pickles, lettuce, cheese, onions and a sesame seed bun.

Food-service franchisor CKE Restaurant Holdings plans to open 30 Carl’s Jr. burger restaurants across Ontario’s ‘Golden Horseshoe’ region over the next six years, starting with Toronto. CKE has signed an agreement with 6Points Food Services to develop, open and operate the restaurants.

Ward, who moved to Canada from Australia more than 15 years ago and has more than 20 years of restaurant experience, has combined North American burger traditions with those of his native land in the new quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain, which offers a variety of high-end burgers and sides.
