One dollar from every higher fibre and whole wheat loaf sold at bakery franchise system Cobs Bread between September 12 and 20 will be donated to the Breakfast Club of Canada. This is the second year of the partnership between Cobs and the Breakfast Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing funding and services for school breakfast programs across the country.
Lice removal franchise system Lice Squad Canada has donated proceeds from its Nit Kit sales to the Children’s Aid Foundation (CAF). On April 30, the company made a donation of $3,750 to CAF’s head office in Toronto.
Canadian food-service franchise system Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria is working with Mealshare, a non-profit organization, to help feed the needy this holiday season. Until December 31, proceeds from sales of Famoso’s jars of Campania tomato sauce will be given to Mealshare, which will donate a meal for every jar sold.
Tim Hortons’ annual smile cookie fundraising campaign is back, running until September 21 in franchises across Canada. Customers can purchase a freshly baked chocolate chunk smile cookie for $1 at participating restaurants, with 100 per cent of the proceeds donated to local community charities, hospitals and programs.
