In recognition of Seniors’ Month, meal delivery franchise system Heart to Home Meals hosted a giveaway to promote the importance of nutrition at events in Southern and Eastern Ontario on June 13 and 14.
In November 2014, Ontario’s government introduced Bill 45, the Healthy Menu Choices Act, requiring all restaurant chains in the province to display the number of calories for each standard food or drink item on their menus.
Beginning this fall, KFC Canada’s new urban fast-casual restaurant concept will be expanded with beer and other new menu items. First tested in December 2013 as ‘KFC Select’ in downtown Toronto, the concept has been renamed ‘KFC Fresh.’
Quick-service restaurant (QSR) franchisor Pita Pit has celebrated its 500th restaurant, in Niagara Falls, Ont. The milestone location, which opened on June 28, is owned and operated by multi-unit franchisees Alan and Rana Matukaitis.
