He first learned about the in-home, private tutoring concept in 2007 from its founder, John Hooi, and was attracted to its one-on-one teaching model, which is designed to address each student’s specific educational issues and needs.
Later this month, Toronto will become home to the world’s first KFC Select, a new fast-casual restaurant concept with distinct menu items. The 12,000-square-foot restaurant on Yonge Street, just south of Bloor Street, will be run by Shehzad Janmohamed.
The newest McDonald’s Canada franchise, which opened in downtown Toronto on November 26, is also the biggest in Ontario. Showcasing the franchisor’s most recent design features, the nearly 9,000-square-foot restaurant is located near Yonge and Elm Streets.
Stefany Dalgliesh, a bartender at a Fionn MacCool’s franchise on Toronto’s Front Street, has won the Prime Pubs 2013 draught master competition. Bartenders from across the country competed for the title and the prize of a four-day educational trip to Ireland.
